Top notch!...

Top notch I have stayed in hundreds of 5 Star hotels around the world very few have the level of history and architectural purity including 500 year old 3plank doors spacious rooms and lovely hosts all set in a large garden surrounded by beautiful flat Suffolk countryside plowed fields and Norman era Church Spires ????? 5 Stars for; Location, Cleanliness, Staff / Service and Facilities. An excellent B & B!...

An excellent B & B. Mrs Bryce is an experienced host and had anticipated all our needs. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good . Parking easy. She was very helpful with ideas for sightseeing. Tips for other travellers: Food at the local 'The George ' was good . We had no idea that Bury St. Edmunds would be so interesting. Sutton Hoo and Ickworth were really interesting. 5 Stars for; Location, Cleanliness, Staff / Service and Facilities. Guest from Ashtead   |   18th September, 2024  |   Ashtead

We will definitely stay there again!...

Mr and Mrs Bryce are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble, breakfast is amazing, there is a varied menu and everything is beautifully cooked and presented. College Farm is in a very quiet and peaceful setting and our room contained everything you could require, home from home. We will definitely stay there again when in the area. Tips for other travellers If you are looking for somewhere to eat in an evening without traveling too far, Hadleigh has several resteraunts on the high street, Dynasty the Chinese and Titos the Italian are both very good and in Hintlesham village the food at The George is all home made and the staff are very friendly and helpful. 5 Stars for; Location, Cleanliness, Staff / Service and Facilities. Rosemary and Ian were the perfect hosts...

Rosemary and Ian were the perfect hosts and made us very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and they even moved in a higher armchair into our room for my husband who they immediately saw would have had difficulty getting out of the ones in place already. We stayed in the Stable for a week and it was everything we wanted - clean, quiet, very comfy superking bed, well stocked tea tray, fridge with fresh milk, our own patio with table and chairs and a huge room! Rosemary's breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. An amazing old house full of history and a lovely garden to relax in where we watched baby rabbits, partridges and hares. Tips for other travellers: The George at Hintlesham was an excellent place to eat close by - welcoming hosts, great food and some items done as 'small plates' which was good as their portions are very large! Our other favourite restaurant was an Italian - Titos in Hadley, about 4 miles away. Very friendly and welcoming, excellent food (classic Italian dishes plus some lovely surprises) and a great atmosphere! Lots to see and do within 30 or 40 minutes: Lavenham Town, its Guildhall and old timbered buildings are a must. Flatford Mill, Melford Hall and Framlingham Castle all worth a visit. But our favourite was Kentwell Hall - such a beautiful house with lovely natural gardens. 5 Stars for; Location, Cleanliness, Staff / Service and Facilities. Hosts & breakfasts excellent!...

Such a lovely homely, friendly place surrounded by peaceful greenery. Hosts & breakfasts excellent! Tips for other travellers: As we dont live far away, familiar with things to do & see, but recommend Hadleigh & Sudbury as very attractive historic towns to explore. 5 Stars for; Location, Cleanliness, Staff / Service and Facilities. We really look forward to our visits to College Farm....

We really look forward to our visits to College Farm. We can really relax and enjoy everything. Rosemary and Ian are perfect hosts . Even the weather behaved perfectly. Tips for other travellers: Hadleigh has an excellent range of eating places for such a small town. The Gainsborough centre at Sudbury has been refurbished and extended . It would be difficult to find a more peaceful, friendly place to stay...

It would be difficult to find a more peaceful, friendly place the stay. Very comfortable, reasonably priced splendid breakfast too. Wanted for nothing and would change nothing and will most certainly come again. Tips for other travellers: Ate at Titos Italian - which was really excellent and in the Bengal Indian in Hadleigh where there are many restaurants. We only stayed two nights so didn't try anywhere else but there are pubs etc in the area. We will be back to explore further as there are few part in England with so many wonderful churches, unspoilt towns and villages. Lovely countryside - best just come here and see for yourself 5 Stars for; Location, Cleanliness, Staff / Service and Facilities. Guest from Eastbourne   |   29th September, 2023  |   Eastbourne

Absolutely fantastic...

We had an very enjoyable stay at College Farm. We stayed for three nights and were located in the converted stable. It was more like an apartment than a room. We could not ask for a nicer place to stay. It was very clean, comfortable, and private. There were areas to walk, it was an excellent location in the countryside not far from Ipswich town. Our hosts were absolutely fantastic. They could not have been more kind and helpful. The breakfasts were wonderful (and so was the homemade marmalade). It was just a wonderful stay all around. If I could give 6 stars, I would! Catherine   |   8 May 2018  |   Washington DC

It was spotlessly clean, with every convenience you could need....

College farm is a beautiful old farmhouse, in a tranquil setting. We stayed for 3 nights in the stable room. It was spotlessly clean, with every convenience you could need. It was also lovely and spacious. There was a great choice for breakfasts and everything well cooked. We found the owners really helpful, especially with finding our way around the area. They were always keen to help us have the best experience of the area. Pat H   |   29 August 2018  |   Bicester

Your breakfasts are delicious.....

The hosts were very kind and welcoming, and the breakfasts were great!...

Stayed here for 4 nights in September while visiting family. It's a lovely, historic property. Our bedroom was spacious, with a big bed and nice touches like a welcome tea tray and even a small sewing kit in case you lost a button. All spotlessly clean, including the en-suite bathroom. It was also very quiet, being on a main road but well tucked away. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, and the breakfasts were great! There was fruit, cereal, fruit juice, toast, and various cooked breakfast options, all superbly well presented and perfectly cooked. We had use of a guest lounge, and took advantage of it so we could watch the last episode of a gripping serial. There was a TV in our room but it was nice to be able to sit in comfort somewhere else. All in all a very good stay. We would certainly go back there. Lois   |   12 October 2018  |   Oxford
